White House Celebration of Disability Rights

ASAN President Ari Ne'eman was invited by the Obama Administration to attend an event celebrating the 19th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) held at the White House on July 25, 2009. At the ADA celebration, President Barack Obama signed a proclamation commemorating the ADA and the rights of people with disabilities. President Obama also announced that he has instructed UN Ambassador Susan Rice to sign the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
